Strike contingency planning

A potential strike is never outside the realm of possibility. It is never too late to put a plan in place for when and if a dispute arises.

Echelon provides comprehensive strategies for navigating the hazards and labor disruptions a strike can bring. We prepare a step-by-step plan for each level of your organization, so all operations continue as normal during any period of strife.

How it works

  1. Advance assessment

Echelon first analyzes your company and production standards. We then open all channels of communication so we can address any potential legal issues and agree on the specifics of the workers we will provide, if needed: how many, for how long, and with what skills.

  2. Recruitment

Echelon draws from a national database of skilled, qualified workers across a wide range of industries. This phase includes how workers will be trained and oriented to your specific line of work, so they hit the ground running on day one of the contract.

  3. Deployment and contingency period

Echelon closely monitors its own workforce throughout the contingency period, holding it to the highest performance standards while meeting and exceeding your production and efficiency needs.

  4. Post-contingency

We carry out a pre-planned strategy for phasing out our workforce, so the transition back to normal operations is as smooth as possible. We also openly evaluate the workforce’s performance and how well the relationship served everyone involved.

Echelon is dedicated to putting the right strategy in place for your specific labor needs, so that if a labor dispute does arise, you can navigate it without losing production.

Strike replacement workers

When a strike happens, Echelon supplies vetted replacement workers from our national database, with transportation through picket lines by strike-experienced drivers, lodging and logistics handled, and project managers on site. See the FAQ for details.
